This poster measures approx. 17 3/4 x 23 1/2 ins. Art by Ruth Garbell 1967.  Original 1st printing. Near mint condition. No rips, holes, tears or tape. Corners crisp. Colors bright. Printed on a nice tan textured paper. Union stamp bottom left corner. Hand stamped Ruth Garbell 1967 bottom right corner. Some of the acts that played the Festival....James Cotton Blues Band, Steve Miller Blues Band, Country Joe and the Fish, Janis Ian, and Richie Havens. Many more performed. Beautiful Classic poster. Ruth Garbell was born in San Francisco in 1946. She attended schools in San Francisco through high school. She attended U.C. Berkeley for college. She was a prolific artist in the 60s-70s. She had 2 solo shows at U.C. Berkeley. One in 1967 and the other in 1968. At 21 she had a solo show at the Edward Lester Gallery in San Francisco. She did many designs for rock post cards and posters. She also produced some large art prints. Some of her prints were inspired by looking at cells in the electron microscope. They have a Bob Fried like feel to them. Organic with bright colors.
