You are bidding on a new Brooklyn Dodgers cap that was hand inscribed by Duke Snider with his signature PLUS "Duke of Flatbush" written beneath. This makes it rare, for few have his famous tag signed beneath his name.
Snider was one of the team's most famous hitters during the 1950s when they were on the east coast. It comes with a COA guaranteeing the signature's authenticity and with a custom plastic cover (see 2nd photo) to protect the cap from dust while on display. The size is 7 1/4 (see photo) color is the true royal "Brooklyn Dodgers" blue as seen in the 1st, 10th and 9th photos. The color appears darker in the other photos due to the lighting. I purchased the cap in the late 1990s and stored it inside the protective cover in a smoke free, light free, pet free and odor free environment all these years. It has never been worn or displayed and is essentially new. I am the only owner of this rare cap that I am selling from my personal collection. I am including as a bonus a Duke Snider Starting Lineup 4" tall plastic figurine in original bubble packaging never opened from their 1997 series of the Cooperstown Collection.
