REV GEAR ON THIS SHAFT IS THE SHORT ONE --IT STOPS ABOUT 1-1/2 TO 2" BEFORE THE BACK GEAR. - THE OLD STYLE SHAFT MAY HAVE A SMALL SNAP RING GROOVE BEHIND 5TH GEAR ( 50THS ) AND OUR SHAFTS WILL HAVE A GROOVE THAT IS TWICE THAT. THIS WAS AN UPDATE A LONG WHILE BACK TO HELP 5TH GEAR. NEED TO USE TWO SNAP RINGS ( NV17018 ) OR THEY WILL HAVE TO FIND A SNAP RING THICK ENOUGH TO FIT IN GROOVE.
