Bud Selig is a baseball executive who was Commissioner of MLB from 1998 to 2015. Earlier, Bud, who is a Milwaukee native, purchased the Seattle Pilots in bankruptcy court in 1970 and moved the team to Milwaukee and renamed the team the Brewers. Bud was the Owner and President of the Brewers from then until he assumed leadership of MLB. At that time ownership was transferred to his daughter. While he was Commissioner of MLB, baseball went through the 1994 MLB Strike, as well as the introduction of the wildcard and interleague play. Selig also brought revenue sharing to baseball and he has been credited with the huge financial turnaround in MLB by increasing revenues up almost 400%. Bud was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2017. He is also credited with bringing baseball back to Milwaukee. This hat would be a wonderful gift for any Brewers or MLB fans.
