    Description

    NOTICE!
ORIGINAL 1968 First Printing of The Grateful Dead and The Quicksilver Messenger Service w/ PH Phactor Jug Band.
Apparently, this tour of the "Great Pacific Northwest" was the band's first time attempting to book all its own dates.  The posters and handbills were done in a wild, wild west motif - complete with faux wrinkled and dirty paper.  Collectors attempt to collect the set for this tour.  It's not easy as these are very rare.
A MINT and CGC graded 9.8 and certified version of this handbill sold recently at Heritage Auction for just over K.
There are staple holes along the top and bottom margins.  As you can see in the photos there is a hole from a staple pull at the upper right side and a "pull" from a staple hole on the lower left corner.
This handbill was printed by The Bindweed Press of San Francisco and measures 6"x10" and is for the
Fri. Sat. Feb. 2 & 3 show at The Crystal Ball Room in Portland Oregon

The records and posters we are selling on our site are part of the Ranch Records archives.  We owned Ranch Records in Salem, Oregon for 38 years.  It was one of the premier collectible record stores in the Pacific N.W.  We closed Ranch in August of 2020 to enjoy retirement.  To fund said retirement we are now selling some of the records we have been hoarding during our 38 years.  My husband "Kit" has been collecting records since 1964 when he bought his first Beach Boys single which he still has!  If you know him or our store, you know that he is known for being rather meticulous.
Over time we will be listing many more records as time allows.  There will be lots of 60s (and beyond) LPs and 45s with sleeves, Record Store Day stuff, sealed limited color vinyl from the 2000s, box sets, posters, promo labels, first pressings, rare
    variants plus more.
Please research Ranch Records online for more info or feel free to ask questions.  Our life's work has involved curating this collection and hope you find something you like.
    Thanks for looking!
